Lately, when looking into the mirror, he wouldn’t recognize who he saw. He considered this to be a positive thing, however. The reason being that for so long he was unhappy with what he saw in himself; but now, for the first time, he seems to like who he is and is excited to see what lay ahead of him.

That moment when you finish a book, look around, and realize that everyone is just carrying on with their lives as though you didn’t just experience emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback.
