about me

I am 23 years old. I am an aspiring cinematographer. I was born in Temple City, California and currently reside in Orlando, Florida. I moved here in June 2011 from Milwaukee. I needed a change from Wisconsin, where I had lived for many years. I did not like the cold, felt like I knew everyone, and there was an extreme lack of potential for film and television related work. I am 6 feet tall. I have brown hair and blue eyes. I live by myself. As of right now I am working as a freelance cinematographer and still photographer.
I read Truman Capote, Cormac McCarthy, James Joyce, Thomas Mann, Chuck Palahniuk, Henrik Ibsen, Aleksander Pushkin, Dennis Lehane, Philip K. Dick, Nikolai Gogol, Jorge Luis Borges and Albert Camus. I listen to Tom Waits, Aesop Rock, Muse, Erik Satie, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Clint Mansell, Gorillaz, Hans Zimmer, Radiohead, Philip Glass, RJD2, Alexandre Desplat, Coldplay, Frederic Chopin, Atmosphere and Jon Brion.
I cannot trust my emotions.
my favorite kind of food is Chinese.
my favorite films are There Will Be Blood, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Lost in Translation, Zodiac, American Beauty, Sunshine, 28 Days Later, Blade Runner, The Fountain, Capote, Children of Men, Lars and the Real Girl, Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Blue Valentine, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and The Tree of Life.
I like the idea of many things more than the actual thing itself. I have never had a stronger passion for anything in my life than I do for filmmaking. I have yet to meet someone that I see myself in. I have very few friends. I drink socially. It is a genuine belief of mine that my life will either be a fantastic success story or an incredible tragedy.
